Container Tag

Many ad channel charge a commission based on the sales they generate. These commissions can differ per category or type of subscription. In order to measure the sales, these channels require a tracking pixel on the webshop's order confirmation page. Depending on the commission model, these are often complicated scripts.

In most cases multiple channels are involved in the sale (also check out articles on Path to conversion). To prevent double order counting, many webshops use a deduplication script. These scripts usually only deduplicate orders between affiliates and always assign the order to the last affiliate (=last cookie counts).
